I was inspired by a memory of an old memory.
I tried to post a site but its gone.
I was struck by the butterfly tattoo

Other than the fact that her arm is too long, the mangled look is correct.

She is in truth a butterfly who came to see someone she loved. Now because of the rain she got injured but came anyway and took a human form.

This is similar to the Japanese fable of the Trapped Crane.
It was with this situation in mind that drew this and because I thought that any more gore would make it not so pretty, the overall effect was made difficult to understand.

I was trying to bring an expression of finally meeting the one you loved in this piece.

ah... how embarrasing....

I remembered the title of the Movie. It was Swallow tail. The girl in that movie had a similar tattoo and I got my inspiration from that. But this piece and that movie have little else in common.
